Hi, I’m Jo Anne “Jo” — a full-time nurse, mom, and home baker behind DoughMami.

DoughMami began with a simple love for sourdough and the quiet joy of creating something by hand. What started as a creative outlet quickly became something more personal — a journey to make bread my diabetic mom could enjoy with less of the blood sugar spike that comes from conventional bread. Through long fermentation and thoughtful ingredients, I discovered sourdough could be both comforting and intentional.

Baking became my way to slow down, care for others, and share comfort through food. Every loaf, cookie, and sweet treat is made in small batches from my home kitchen using long fermentation, quality ingredients, and thoughtful attention to detail.

Balancing nursing and baking has shaped my belief that nourishment is more than food — it’s comfort, connection, and care shared at the table.

Our Story

Our Journey

What started as late-night baking for family and friends has grown into farmers markets, porch pickups, and weekly drops enjoyed by a supportive community.

DoughMami continues to grow one bake at a time, guided by patience, intention, and a love for simple, homemade food. The journey is still unfolding, and each order is part of the story being written.

Thank you for being here and growing with me.
