Hi, I’m Jo Anne “Jo” — a full-time nurse, mom, and home baker behind DoughMami.

Dough Mami began with a simple goal: helping my diabetic mom enjoy bread again without the blood sugar spikes that often come with traditional bread. What started as a personal mission quickly grew into a passion for sourdough and the joy of creating something nourishing by hand.

Baking became my way to slow down, care for others, and share comfort through food. Every loaf, cookie, and sweet treat is made in small batches from my home kitchen using long fermentation, quality ingredients, and thoughtful attention to detail.

As a nurse, I understand the importance of caring for people, and I bring that same mindset into everything I bake. Whether you’re picking up a loaf from the Bread Shed, stopping by a market, or sharing Dough Mami with your family, my hope is that every bite feels homemade, comforting, and made with intention.

Thank you for supporting this dream. From a nurse’s hands to your table, welcome to Dough Mami.

Our Story

Our Journey

What started as late-night baking for family and friends has grown into farmers markets, porch pickups, and weekly drops enjoyed by a supportive community.

DoughMami continues to grow one bake at a time, guided by patience, intention, and a love for simple, homemade food. The journey is still unfolding, and each order is part of the story being written.

Thank you for being here and growing with me.
